So it is illegal to sell or buy semi-automatic rifles with magazines that can be detached using a bullet button. Also the possession of magazines that can hold more than ten rounds of ammunition is now illegal in California. I think many sellers are using background checks to sell ammunition so what's difference in this? Also I found a post which provided info about online ammo buying restrictions by states in USA.Moriarti Armamentshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06725380680599572391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36705283.post-16563727608334346742017-06-24T19:42:27.732-07:002017-06-24T19:42:27.732-07:00Won't CA DOJ be surprised when they learn that...Won't CA DOJ be surprised when they learn that AR's are modular, and that owners will need a procedure for registering their "rifle" [singular] with multiple barrels, appliance configurations (since it has to be photographed for identification), and so on. Bummer for DOJ ... 1989 was so long ago in the history of said firearm, and their rule writers haven't kept up.. Unfortunately, I believe this means you will have to go featureless under the new law. I would suggest that you contact one of the fire arms advocacy lawyer groups and ask about this. You may have a case against the state of California.Dennis Santiagohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14205643659567218089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36705283.post-59838496278139497302017-03-08T22:34:53.019-08:002017-03-08T22:34:53.019-08:00What if I am 18 and owned a bullet button rifle pr...What if I am 18 and owned a bullet button rifle prior to the start of 2017? However, there remains a question on whether or not California law, as written, actually authorizes the Department of Justice to create rules over and above the simple requirement for registration. In the past three cycles of registration, there were no such conditions imposed. Note that a so-called "featureless" gun has no requirement to retain the bullet button. DOJ may simply be trial ballooning line items knowing they are regulating beyond the letter of the law. We'll see.Dennis Santiagohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14205643659567218089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36705283.post-48496530054686510012016-12-26T13:44:46.782-08:002016-12-26T13:44:46.782-08:00So if I register my ar with the state I can remove...So if I register my ar with the state I can remove the bullet button and drop the magazine by simply pushing the magazine release? In the U.K., manually operated versions of AR-15's that use pull levers to operate the action in lieu of the gas system have been developed for use in target competitions. Their designs incorporate extra leverage to facilitate initial extraction. Using only the charging handle, you need to download the round's pressure or the cases will tend to stick in the chamber. Properly modified, it is a viable alternative if there's enough market demand for it. I know for many this isn't what they want but for me this is fine. You can then remove the bullet button.I will do this to my AR's and take the gas block and tube to my Arizona house.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16682872239253364430noreply@blogger.com
